(Mailing List Information, including unsubscription instructions are located at the end of this message) Trailworkers: January 16th is your opportunity to actually follow through with that New Year's resolution to perform more trailwork this year. After a long season of riding and the recent deluge, the Braille trail needs some TLC to prepare it for the upcoming season. Now is the time (while the soil is, ahem, soft, not to say soggy) to clear out the drains and dips that keep the trails enjoyable all year. Please join us in the parking lot on Highland across the steel bridge on Sunday, January 16th at 8:30 a.m. We will be working from 9:00 a.m. until about 2 pm, hoping to clean up Braille in a single day. You will want to wear long pants and gloves (we will provide gloves if you don't have a pair). Please carry plenty of water and bring a snack to eat on the trail. The Stewards will provide the tools, you provide the labor. As an extra enticement, Specialized Bikes will be providing caffeinated beverages and an additional adrenaline injection in the form of demo bikes to test ride during and after the work day. Please sign up at http://www.trailworkers.com/volunteer.cfm so that we know how many tools to bring. Please send us an email if you need gloves, so that we know how many to bring. Thanks from the Stewards of the Soquel Forest, Aaron Hunter and Natasha Perry aa_hunter@yahoo.com natashaperry@yahoo.com
