Trailworkers,

This Sunday, December 18 we will continue our annual trail maintenance efforts at the Soquel Demonstration Forest (SDSF). At the last trailwork day (Dec 4th), we completed drainage work and improved technical features on the lower half of Braile. We hope that these improvements have enhanced your trail riding experience at SDSF. This Sunday we hope to complete similar work on the top half of Braile and we would appreciate your participation and input in making the Soquel Demonstration Forest a better place to ride.

We are meeting at the parking lot on Highland, across the steel bridge at 8:30 AM on Sunday, December 18th. Depending on conditions, trailworkers may find it easiest to ride to the work site. Bring your bike if you want to ride. Bob trailers will be provided. If weather conditions are not conducive to riding into the forest, or if you prefer to walk, you can hike in to the work site.

You should bring long pants and sleeves, plenty of water, and lunch or a snack you can carry with you on the trail, and hiking shoes/boots. I will bring work gloves to loan if you have none. If you are planning on riding into the site, bring ride gear. The Stewards of Soquel Forest will provide coffee and something for your sweet tooth. Our start time is 9:00am, and we will work until mid-afternoon. From there, some will go for a ride, and others will stay and clean tools.

Please sign up at http://www.trailworkers.com/volunteer.cfm so we know how many tools to bring, or email nigel.ray@durect.com if you have any questions.

IMBA's rule of thumb is to give 20/20/20 each year, referring to local member dues, national member dues, and hours in the field making the outdoors a better experience for everyone. This is an excellent opportunity to add a few hours toward completing your annual trailwork requirements.
