Soquel Demonstration Forest Trail Work -- Sunday, March 19

(Mailing List Information, including unsubscription instructions are
located at the end of this message)

Trailworkers,

With the above normal rainfall in recent weeks, it is crucial that we get back out and continue our trail maintenance efforts in Soquel Demonstration Forest. Our volunteer trail work efforts keep the Demonstration Forest trails open as some of the best riding in the Bay Area. This Sunday, March 19th we will be finishing the re-route that is in progress and doing drainage and tread work on Sawpit. This is a a great opportunity to give back to the trails and keep them in great riding shape for the next year. We welcome your involvement, especially if you have yet to participate in our trail work efforts at the Demonstration Forest.

We are meeting at the parking lot on Highland, across the steel bridge at 8:30 AM on Sunday, March 19th. Given current conditions, we will hike in to the work site. You should bring long pants and sleeves, plenty of water, and lunch or a snack you can carry with you on the trail, and hiking shoes/boots. I will bring work gloves to loan if you have none. The Stewards of Soquel Forest will provide coffee and something for your sweet tooth. Our start time is 9:00am, and we will work until mid-afternoon. From there, some will go for a ride, and others will stay and clean tools.

Please sign up at http://www.trailworkers.com/volunteer.cfm so we know how many tools to bring, or email nigel.ray@durect.com if you have any questions.

IMBA's rule of thumb is to give 20/20/20 each year, referring to local member dues, national member dues, and hours in the field making the outdoors a better experience for everyone. This is an excellent opportunity to add a few hours toward completing your annual trailwork requirements.
