SCC Parks need help this weekend for Earth Day

Hello Park Volunteers!


As you all probably know this weekend is Earth Day! We have a great number
of events this weekend, and are struggling to get enough people at a couple
of them. If any of you are available on Saturday, April 22nd, from
9am-12noon to help, it would be greatly appreciated! We have a limited
supply of wonderful T-shirts, and patches as incentive too!


Here is the information:


Upper Stevens Creek Park: Table Mountain Trail ~ We will be meeting at the
Saratoga Gap parking lot and shuttling people to the trail head. This will
be a trail repair and restoration work repair work day.


Sanborn/Skyline Park: Sunnyvale Mtn Meadow ~ We will be meeting at
Sunnyvale Mtn. Parking Lot off of Hwy 35 (Skyline Blvd.) this is a small
parking lot just past Castle Rock and Indian Rock on the left side of the
road.


For both of these events please bring sturdy shoes, long pants and sleeves,
and bring rain gear as these are rain or shine events. We will be providing
gloves, tools, water and snacks. Also - don't forget we have some t-shirts
and patches!


Another announcement: We have a Trail Watch Academy Scheduled for May 6th &
13th and a Trail Crew Lead Training on May 7th. If you are interested
please call or e-mail me to reserve a spot.


Thanks for all your efforts! Hope to hear back from some of you about these
exciting events! Please pass the word to any friends or family looking to
