Local Bike Shop Break-ins

I've forwarded a message from Vance Sprock, owner of CBS. After Jim. S's
break-in...there seems to be more of a pattern going on with shops as well.
I can't open Vances cwk document, but I'll pass it on in case you can.

I will also post this list on CL if I can get and open the document on the
inventory list.

Hi all,

There have been several attempts and successful break-ins at local
shops. We were one of three that suffered losses. I am attaching a
list of bikes and serial numbers that were stolen from Cupertino Bike
Shop and Evolution Bike Shop. Please feel free to forward this to
anyone, the more people that know the better. If you have any info at
please call Sergeant Rodrigues 408.868.6629 of Santa Clara County
Sheriff Department who is working two of the cases.

Below is a summary of events so far:

Santa Teresa Cycles (San Jose) 408-264-2453, 3 attempts between April
21-27
Off Ramp (Santa Clara) 408-249-2848, 1 attempt April 26
Walts Cycle and Fitness (Sunnyvale) 408-736-2630, 1 attempt April 26
Evolution Bike Shop (Cupertino) 408-252-5202, April 28, loss 8k
Calabazas Bike Shop (San Jose) 408-366-2453, April 28, loss 9k
Trailhead Cyclery (San Jose) 408-369-9666, 1 attempt May 1
Performance Bicycles (San Jose) 408-559-0495, May 2, 1 attempt
Cupertino Bike Shop (Cupertino) 408-255-2217, May 3, loss 27k


As you can see they are targeting bicycle shops in the area. It has
all been "smash and grab" , force open a door (they have not broken
any glass) and grab what they can in 2-3 minutes and leave.

I am attaching a list of items stolen from me and descriptions. I
also have a short list from Evolution Bike Shop too.

Thanks for your interest and help on the matter. I hope they get
caught soon.
