Demo Trailwork moved to December 9th

(Mailing List Information, including unsubscription instructions are
located at the end of this message)

Hello Everyone!
The trailwork previously scheduled for this Saturday (December 2nd) has been moved to next Saturday (December 9th). This is a great opportunity to come out and get involved. No experience required. Bring work clothes that you can get dirty, gloves, water, and a sack lunch. Gloves are available if you need some. I recommend long sleeves to help prevent catching Poison Oak. Snacks and coffee are available in the parking lot.

This is going to be another great year in the Soquel Demo Forest. We've already had one trailday where we maintained the lower half of Tractor. We have a project coming up that I am really excited about; it's the reason I do trailwork, and the way things should work everywhere. We haven't worked out all the details yet, but come to the trailwork and I'll tell you scoop.

I can tell you about the upcoming trailwork. On the 9th we will be working on some problem areas on Braille. We meet in the parking lot at 9am and work until 2pm. We hope to rework sections of the trail for better drainage, less maintenance, and a better user experience. This is the kind of work that lets us maintain a larger trail network with less work (leaving more time for special projects). If you haven't ever hiked Braille, I guarantee you will find some new line you didn't even know existed. If you haven't ridden Braille...shame on you, it's one of the gems of the Bay Area. This is your chance to really get to know the trail and talk with locals about the best routes. Sign up at Trailworkers.com or email me if you have any questions.
