Velo Girls Endurance Mountain Bike Racing Clinic Thursday, February 15

Have you ever considered racing your mountain bike for six, eight, twelve, or even 24-hours? Sound crazy? Actually, it's crazy-fun! You don't have to be a hard-core racer to participate in Endurance Mountain Bike Racing. Team Velo Girls http://velogirls.com/ member and endurance racer Justine Mojica will enlighten you to all the fun and frenzy involved in 24-hour racing, including how to choose a race, equipment, training, pre-race prep, nutrition and hydration, support, etiquette, transitions, and recovery. This clinic is focused on those who'd like to race solo or as part of a team and is open to men and women, members or not. There is no fee for this clinic, and refreshments will be served. Also, before the clinic we will be leading a ride up into Waterdog Park http://passiontrailbikes.com/pages/waterdog Meet at Passion at 4:00 for the ride, which may last until 6:30, and bring a blinky tail light for the return down Ralston. The clinic starts at 7:30, and will be over faster than your first endurance event. Please RSVP to Charles@PassionTrailBikes.com for either the clinic, or the ride, or hopefully both!

Riding with Passion

Last Saturday's Passion Ride in the El Corte de Madera Open Space Preserve was well attended, with as many as 20 riders tagging along at one point. Photos are posted at http://www.passiontrailbikes.com/articles/2007/02/04/Feb03-skeggs-ride-report Our next planned group ride, other than the Velo Girls ride above, is President's Day, Monday February 19 in the Soquel Demonstration Forest. Dealin on Stuff

We have added even more Sugoi and Fox clothing to the Discount Rack, where everything is at least 25% off, and now have all of our 2006 Specialized Optics on sale for 20% off, and a great selection of 2007 Optics. Just added, we are offering 10% off any bike service, parts AND labor, for the remainder of the month! Just mention you saw this in the Passion Mailing when you drop off your bike, or when you pick it up, or just about any time before the end of February. John and Sterling have cleaned their workbenches, and under them, and are running out of Winter projects. Let them apply the same high level of attention to your bike, or that of a loved one. Valentine's Day is coming y'know.

Chevy's Food and Drink Fundraiser for Elaine Minton and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Elaine Minton and Chevy's Restaurant are working together to raise funds for a great cause. Come on out to Chevy's Restaurant in Foster City on Monday, February 26 for lunch, dinner, or drinks. You could even have a team lunch there! Have fun enjoying fajitas and margaritas on the lagoon! Chevy's has offered to donate 25% of all food purchases to Elaine's fundraising efforts to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. You may know Elaine is training for Ironman Canada in August with Team In Training http://www.active.com/donate/tntgsf/ironwoman

You go to Chevy's with a flyer that you can get at Passion, or get one here http://passiontrailbikes.com/files/lls_fundraising_flyer.doc and give it to your server when you pay. Super easy. Elaine will be in the bar from 6-9pm should you want to join her, but the offer is good all day. It highly likely Passion will host a ride nearby, and stop at Chevy's afterward. Again, inquire for up to the minute details at Info@PassionTrailBikes.com
