1. Help us hire two more great people
We are ecstatic about how well our business has grown over the last year. Thank you to everyone who helped us become successful! Now, we want to be able to offer the same level of service to our loyal customers next year, but we won't be able to do it without some more help. So we are hiring again. We are looking for another awesome mechanic, as well as someone with customer service and visual design/merchandising skills. If you know someone who would be a good fit here, please encourage them to apply. The jobs are posted on our website.

2. Belmont Park and Rec Commission appointments
The City of Belmont is accepting applications for the Park and Recreation Commission. We are hoping any mountain bikers who live in Belmont will apply. The commitment is not very big, and you could have an important place in determining how Belmont will manage its parks and trails. Applications are available on line, but you must apply by 5pm on Friday 1/25.

3. Belmont Park and Open Space Master Plan Update
Speaking of Belmont's trails, the city is also starting the Master Plan update process for its parks and open space areas. The Master Plan will be used to guide development and management of these areas for the next 20 years. There will be a series of meetings to discuss the future of Belmont's Parks, and we will be working to submit suggestions for trail improvements in Waterdog. Your ideas are welcome too.

4. Trailwork: Soquel Forest 1/27 & Waterdog 2/2
Yep, we are getting dirty. Again! Come join us. We now have signups for trailwork at both Soquel Forest this Sunday, and Waterdog Park the following Saturday set up on Trailworkers.com.

5. Rides, maybe
Peter was hoping to lead a ride this weekend, but it looks like the trails may be too wet. You can check out the comments on his blog post for an update if you're jonesin' for a ride too.

6. Beer Friday
This Friday, we will not be open late. Nope, we are going to be at Devil's Canyon Brewery in Belmont, tasting their fine seasonal Winter Ale and shakin' our booties. Come join us for this purely social activity!

7. March 15 & 16: Demo Days
Mark your calendar. We will have lots and lots of Demo Bikes here to try out, plus a BBQ, and Patty will be serving green beer. Try out a new Specialized Enduro, Maverick ML8, Santa Cruz Blur, Ibis Mojo, Giant Trance, and more. Stay tuned for details.
