2. Sunday morning ride (or coffee on the porch)
This Sunday 12/14/08 there are a number of rides planned to choose from, should the weather hold. Note, however that Charles and Patty and Reba will not be here to lead any of them.
Nope. Instead they will be sleeping in and having coffee, lazing around in fuzzy slippers, reading the newspaper, noshing on eggs & bacon, and perhaps tossing a pigs ear for Reba.
We recommend checking out the offerings in these links and pick a ride that suits your fancy:
The MTBR Skeggs Ride at 9:00am or 10:30am, or the joint
MBOSC-ROMP ride at Soquel Forest at 9:30, or if you just can't help it you are certainly welcome to launch a ride from the shop or from the Carlmont Drive trailhead for Waterdog Park. Just keep in mind we won't be here to unlock the doors until 12:00 noon. And you are welcome to crash the lounge for lunch, too.

3. Soquel Forest trailwork Sometime Soon
Last week we posted that there would be trailwork on Saturday Dec 13th in Soquel Forest. Well, we had seen this date on a calendar that got passed around, but now we don't see a project posted on the TrailWorkers.Com website until December 28th. So to avoid any further confusion, we are asking you to check there and if no project has been posted for this weekend assume we gave you bad info last week. Sorry about that.
Aside from calendar chaos, Charles was able to get out on the forest on Monday and get both a ride and a lumberjack workout in on his day off. Awesome! Here's a shot of one of the blow-downs he took out below. For a more complete story and a lot more pictures you can read this thread in the Norcal Forum.

4. Passion Solstice Celebration Sunday Dec 21
Solstice is coming!
Please join our annual shop party in celebration of lengthening days ahead as the earth starts a new revolution around the sun, angling the northern hemisphere a bit closer to those warming rays.
There will be food, drink, and great friends. The party will start around 6pm on Sunday December 21. We hope you can be there!
