Soquel Demonstration Forest Trailwork -- Sunday, April 2nd

(Mailing List Information, including unsubscription instructions are
located at the end of this message)

Soquel Demonstration Forest trailwork Sunday April 2nd

With the above normal rainfall in recent weeks, it is crucial that we
get back out and continue our trail maintenance efforts in Soquel
Demonstration Forest. Our volunteer trail work efforts keep the
Demonstration Forest trails open as some of the best riding in the Bay
Area. This is a a great opportunity to give back to the trails and keep
them in great riding shape
for the next year. We welcome your involvement, especially if you have
yet to participate in our trail work efforts at the Demonstration
Forest.

We are meeting at the parking lot on Highland, across the steel bridge
at 8:30 AM on Sunday, April 2nd. Given current conditions, we will most
likely
hike in to the work site after a drive up buzzard to the top of the
ridge trail. If the trails dry out a little bit more we might ride bikes
and tow bob trailers with tools in them to the work site but this seems
highly unlikely. You should bring long pants and sleeves,
plenty of water, and lunch or a snack you can carry with you on the trail,
and hiking shoes/boots. I will bring work gloves to loan if you have
none. The Stewards of Soquel Forest will provide coffee and something
for your sweet tooth. Keep in mind the time changes this weekend, and we will bring particularly high octane brew with us to help compensate for everyone's lack of sleep. Our start time is 9:00am, and we will work until
mid-afternoon. From there, some will go for a ride, and some will go
home and be couch potatoes the rest of the day.

Please let me know if you have a 4wd vehicle you are bringing so I know
how many people we can shuttle up the mountain.
